In his op-ed published at Investortrust.id on 13 July 2025, Mulya argued that:

  • The IEU CEPA agreement will open up to 80% tariff-free access for Indonesian exports to the European Union market, increase the competitiveness of superior products, and attract quality investment in the technology and manufacturing sectors.

  • This agreement is expected to create jobs, encourage SME inclusion, accelerate technology transfer, and strengthen cross-sector cooperation in areas such as education, research, and culture.

  • The IEU CEPA is part of Indonesia's multi-pronged and balanced global economic diplomacy strategy, which is also strengthened by strategic tariff negotiations with the United States and active participation in international forums such as BRICS.
